Bruce Springsteen Postpones Remaining 2023 Tour Dates Due to Illness

The Boss needs to rest.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band announced they will be postponing the remainder of their 2023 tour as Sprinsteen recovers from peptic ulcer disease.

In a statement on the bands website, Springsteen has “continued to steadily recover,” but due to his doctor’s advice, decided to postpone the rest of the tour. Peptic ulcers are open sores that develop on the inside lining of your stomach and the upper portion of your small intestine.

“With this in mind, and out of an abundance of caution, all remaining 2023 tour dates for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be postponed until 2024,” the statement read.

“Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement, and support. I’m on the mend and can’t wait to see you all next year.”

The Boss canceled  several shows with the E Street Band last month, right after performing at East Rutherford’s MetLife Stadium on Aug. 30, Sept. 1, and Sept. 3.

According to the website, all tickets for postponed performances will remain valid for the newly announced dates, and the rescheduled dates for each of the postponed 2023 shows will be announced next week. They will all take place at their originally scheduled venues. Fans can also ask for a refund.
