Gotham FC’s path to defending its National Women’s Soccer League title is set.
The CONCACAF W Champions cup and reigning NWSL champions announced the club’s 2026 regular-season schedule. Gotham will be playing 30 matches (15 at home, 15 on the road) from mid-March through early November as Juan Carlos Amoros’ side will be pursuing its third NWSL title in four years.
The season opens with a road test against expansion side Boston Legacy FC on March 15 at Gillette Stadium, marking Boston’s first-ever NWSL match. Gotham returns home a week later for its season opener at Sports Illustrated Stadium against the North Carolina Courage on March 21, the first of a three-game homestand. Gotham will also face league newcomers Denver Summit on March 25 and a rematch of the 2025 semifinal against the Orlando Pride on March 29.
This season, Gotham FC will appear in 21 nationally televised matches across ABC, CBS, CBS Sports Network, Prime Video, ESPN, and ION. Additional games will stream on Victory+, the league’s new free streaming platform. Local broadcast details will be announced at a later date.
The Bats will also compete in the NWSL Challenge Cup on June 26 against the Kansas City Current in Columbus, Ohio, the first matchup since Gotham’s dramatic 2-1 upset of the top-seeded Current in the 2025 NWSL quarterfinals.
Several home games are shaping up as must-watch events this season. Fans will see a rematch of last year’s NWSL Championship when Gotham hosts Washington Spirit on July 15, Boston Legacy’s first visit to Harrison on May 9, a pivotal matchup against Kansas City Current on August 14 and a coast-to-coast showdown with Angel City FC on October 4. The regular season wraps up at home against Utah Royals on November 1 for Decision Day. Eight teams will advance to the playoffs, with quarterfinals scheduled for November 6–8 and postseason play continuing each weekend through the NWSL Championship on November 21.
Gotham will pause NWSL play during the week of May 18 to compete for its second consecutive Concacaf W Champions Cup title. The team won the inaugural tournament in 2025, defeating Tigres UANL 1-0 in the final. The league also has a CBA-mandated break from June 8–14 and will pause again from June 15–28 for the FIFA Men’s World Cup.
Unlike its league counterparts, Gotham has already started the competitive portion of its 2026 campaign. The team is training in Spain in preparation for the inaugural FIFA Women’s Champions Cup, which begins Jan. 28 in London to crown the first intercontinental women’s club champion.
