St. John’s won back-to-back Big East Men’s Basketball Tournament titles for the first time in school history after defeating UConn 72-52 in the 2026 championship game. Additionally, beyond being the first time the Red Storm won consecutive titles, 2026 also marked the Johnnies’ fifth overall Big East Tournament championship.

Seton Hall advanced to the tournament semifinals, where they fell to St. John’s 78-68.
