After dropping set one, the Bridgewater-Raritan girls’ volleyball team rattled off three straight set wins, including a come-from-behind victory in set four, to top Hillsborough 3-1 (19-25, 25-15, 25-16, 25-22) in a Somerset County Girls Volleyball Tournament semifinal match.

Ava Marvuglio hammered down 15 kills, served up four aces, and dug up 15 balls to lead the Panther effort.  Jahniah Bishop also had 15 kills and three blocks for B-R, while Katelyn Phan led the Panthers with 28 digs.  Ella Sorenson dished out 32 assists for Bridgewater-Raritan.

Grace Fitzpatrick had 17 kills, 15 digs, and four service aces to lead the way for Hillsborough.  Abigail Fenton added another 15 kills and led the Raiders with 21 digs.  Cynthia Lei dished 42 assists, and Alexa Gaspar had four stuffs for Hillsborough.

With the win, B-R advances to take on Mount St. Mary in the county championship match on Thursday at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.  Hillsborough returns to action Saturday at Madison.
