The third-ranked Delbarton swimmers took the top spot in 10 of 11 events to win their first ever boys swimming sectional title defeating No. 9 Pingry 113-57 at the 2026 NJSIAA Boys Swimming Non-Public, North Championship on Feb. 16, 2026 at the Neptune Aquatics Center.

Max Ciechanowski and C.J. Friends led the way individually for the Green Wave winning two events apiece.  Ciechanowski placed first in the 200 and 100-yard freestyle and Friends took the top spot in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke for Delbarton.

Carter Smith was the lone Pingry swimmer to win an event, taking top honors in the 500-yard freestyle.

With the win, Delbarton advances to face St. Augustine in the NJSIAA Boys Swimming Non-Public State Championship on Sunday at the Rutgers Aquatics Center at the Sonny Werblin Recreation Center in Piscataway at noon.
