Sienna Cassel recorded a double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds to help lead Pequannock to a 53-42 opening-round victory over Butler in the 2026 Morris County Girls Basketball Tournament inside Ruth Kellett Gymnasium at Pequannock Township High School.

Caitlin Zegler also turned in an all-around good game for the Golden Panthers, adding 12 points, seven rebounds, six steals, and four assists for Pequannock.

Alexa Sinopoli led the way for Butler with 14 points. Anabella Cole and Allison Dieckmann were the only other two Bulldogs to near double-digit scoring with nine and eight points, respectively.

With the win, Pequannock advances to play Chatham in the second round of the Morris County Tournament.
