UCLA scored first; however, Rutgers countered with three unanswered goals to upset the No. 11 Bruins on Sept. 11, 2026, at Yurcak Field in Piscataway.

Nick Collins, William Pierce, and Erick Ruiz each scored a goal for the Scarlet Knights, and Hector Criado, Francesco Di Ponzio, Simon Gorczowski, Amer Lukovic, Pius Ssebulime, and Devon Stopek each recorded an assist.

With the win, Rutgers improves to 2-3-1 and notched their first win over a ranked opponent since 2024.
