IMAGES: TCNJ Softball Sweeps Doubleheader Against William Paterson

The TCNJ softball team swept a doubleheader against William Paterson on April 4, 2026.  The Lions mercy ruled the Pioneers in game one, 8-0, in five innings, and followed up that victory with a 3-2 decision in game two.

Morgan Estelow and Maya Knasiak led TCNJ offensively.  Estelow and Knasiak both went 4-7 over the two games, with Knasiak recording four RBIs and one walk while Estelow scored three runs and knocked in two RBIs.

Knasiak pitched a complete game one to earn the win for the Lions, surrendering only one hit and one walk while striking out nine.  Sairah Llano came on in relief to earn the win in game two for TCNJ, and Knasiak secured the save for the Lions.

Kylie Anthony recorded the only hit in game one for William Paterson.  Hailey Backo, Courtney DiPrenda, Lilah Guthy, Aubrey Miller, and Megan Tinger each had a hit for the Pioneers in game two, with Backo and Miller also recording RBIs and DiPrenda and Tinger scoring runs.

Guthy started game one in the circle and took the loss after surrendering four runs in two innings of work for WPU.  Miller pitched a complete game two, and only surrendered two earned runs, but ultimately took the loss for William Paterson.

TCNJ will next host No. 14 Rowan on Tuesday, while William Paterson will travel to Montclair to take on Montclair State on Tuesday.
