Hailey Seubert blasted a two-run home run in the fourth inning to break a 0-0 tie, and Villanova commit, Riley Bobrowski, held Scotch Plains-Fanwood scoreless to lead Watchung Hills to a 4-0 victory over the Raiders in the 2026 NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 2, Group 4 Softball Championship game.

Overall, Seubert was only one of two players to record a hit against SPF.  She went 1-2 at the plate with the homerun, a walk, two RBIs, and a run scored.  The other player to record a hit for the Warriors was Lia Long.  She was 1-3 at the plate with a double and an RBI for Watchung Hills.

Bobrowski went the full seven innings in the circle, striking out 16 and was one hit shy of a perfect game for the Warriors.

Mackenzie Bogart had the lone hit for the Scotch Plains-Fanwood, breaking up Bobrowski’s perfect game bid with a sixth-inning single.  She would advance to third after swiping two bases, to set up the Raiders’ best scoring opportunity, but would ultimately be stranded there.

Maddie Bogart started in the circle for SPF and had a good game in her own right.  She pitched the full game, only giving up two hits while striking out 13; however, the home run, some walks, wild pitches, and passed balls would ultimately lead to four Watchung Hills runs and the loss.

With the win, Watchung Hills advances to take on Morris Knolls in the NJSIAA Group 4 semifinals on Tuesday, while with the loss, Scotch Plains-Fanwood sees their season come to a close with a 15-14 record.
