Trump Leads Biden in New NJ Poll

By Gerald D'Ambra

For the first time, former President Donal Trump is leading President Joe Biden in the polls here in New Jersey. The Garden State is historically a blue state, but the poll conducted by co/efficient shows Trump with a slight, one-point lead. The last Republican to win New Jersey and its 14 electoral votes was George Bush Sr. in 1988.

President Trump’s lead is not reflected down the ballot. Rep. Andy Kim, the Democrat nominee for U.S. Senate is leading Republican nominee Curtis Bashaw by six points in the same poll. But 25-percent of voters say they are still undecided in New Jersey’s U.S. Senate race, while only 11-percent say they’re undecided for President.
