A Night in the Cold

December 8, 2025

This past Friday, December 5, the Morristown High School football stadium was transformed into something extraordinary. Homeless Solutions turned the field into an overnight encampment for A Night in the Cold, running from 6 p.m. until 8 a.m. the next morning.

Tents covered the field, temperatures dropped, and hundreds of people chose to spend one cold night outside to better understand what so many of their neighbors face every day. And this wasn’t a staged photo-op — it was a field filled with emotion, community, and deep reflection.

Homeless Solutions continues to be a leader in Morris County, offering what they call a “Hand UP, not a HandOUT” providing shelter, housing, and supportive programs that help individuals and families rebuild stability, independence, and hope.
