As we head into Thanksgiving week, families across New Jersey are gathering around the table, but for many, access to healthy, nourishing food remains a daily challenge. This holiday is not only a time for gratitude, but also a moment to reflect on how we can better support our communities year-round.
Joining us this morning is Dr. Leeja Carter, CEO & Founder of the Coalition for Food and Health Equity. Under her leadership, CFHE is reimagining what food access can look like, centering dignity, equity, and community collaboration. From smart fridges that offer barrier-free nutrition to school-based food hubs and the innovative Ujamaa Café model, Dr. Carter is helping redesign food access as a fundamental part of community health and wellness.
