A total of 12 people, from New Jersey and Pennsylvania, were charged with cashing $11 million in stolen checks. The money was intended to provide Covid relief to businesses.

An e-bike rider who died in a crash on October 10th has been identified as 73-year-old Henry Phillips Jr. of Atlantic Highlands. Phillips was on the wrong side of Route 36, when he collided with a police car. He died nine days later.

The Lakewood Police Department congratulates Captain Tommy Langenberger on his retirement. Langenberger, who is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy, served the township for more than three decades.

Monmouth County Deputy Director Susan Kiley received the Outstanding Community Service Award at the 40th Annual Golden OSPREY Award ceremony. The honor was presented by the Jersey Shore Chamber of Commerce, at the Jumping Brook Country Club in Neptune.
