Jazz has long been a powerful part of American culture, and every year, International Jazz Day brings communities together to celebrate its impact around the world. Here in New Jersey, New Jersey Performing Arts Center is continuing that tradition with a free concert on April 26 in Newark, showcasing the next generation of jazz talent. The event highlights young musicians from programs like Jazz House Kids and NJPAC’s own Jazz for Teens, giving audiences a chance to experience rising stars on one stage. It’s also part of NJPAC’s ongoing commitment to arts education and inspiring young performers across the region. Joining us now with more is Rosa Hyde, Senior Director of Arts Education Performances and Special Events at NJPAC.
