Local officials signed a Project Labor Agreement to restore the Old Eagle Tavern in Trenton, giving the public a chance to enjoy the historic landmark. The tavern was built around 1765 but has sat vacant since the early 1990s.
Kean University congratulates its first-generation students who were honored at the school’s First to Climb Higher celebration. This ceremony recognizes students who are first in their families to attend college.
On Friday, May 1st, the American Cancer Society will honor Les Hirsch, president and CEO of Saint Peter’s Healthcare System, as this year’s medical honoree. Hirsch has spent over 45 years in the health care industry.
Newark has been recognized by the Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to growing and protecting trees. The city has planted more than 1,100 trees since launching their Rooted in Newark initiative last year.
