Woodbridge is opening another elementary school in 2028, the township’s first new elementary school in over 40 years. The move will eliminate half-hour bus rides each way for students living in the Hopelawn and Keasbey neighborhoods.

The Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office is expanding its Emergency Medical Services Operation, MedStar, into the City of Long Branch starting May 1st. The agency currently serves more than a dozen municipalities.

Local officials and law enforcement officers attended the 24th annual Blue Mass in Freehold. Hosted by the Diocese of Trenton, the event honors those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Congratulations to Yovani Lopez, who was just sworn in as an officer with the Freehold Borough Police Department. Patrolman Lopez previously served in the United States Marine Corps before attending the Atlantic County Police Academy.
