Governor Sherrill has announced a $5 million {dollar} initiative to make sure soccer fans get to take part in celebrations for FIFA World Cup 2026. The money will be put towards watch parties and street fairs in communities throughout the state.

The Team USA men’s hockey team was able to pull off the win against Canada in overtime, thanks to a goal by New Jersey Devils star Jack Hughes. This is the first hockey gold medal for the U.S. men since 1980.

The cause of death of actor, and Montclair native, Peter Greene has been revealed as an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound. Greene, best known for his roles in Pulp Fiction and The Mask, was found dead in his New York City apartment back in December.

The ribbon has been cut on the new pedestrian bridge over Great Falls in Paterson. Several local officials, including Mayor Andre Sayegh and Congresswoman Nellie Pou, spoke at the event. The previous bridge closed in 2021 following structural damage.
