Fairleigh Dickinson University just announced the largest donation in its history – $6 million from an anonymous donor. The school says the money will be put towards its College of Psychology and Counseling, which will now be formally named after FDU alum Marion Turpan, to honor her legacy.

Jersey City firefighters who were training at the Jefferson Avenue Reservoir noticed that a seagull was stuck to the ice. The were able free it safely, before watching it fly away.

The newly expanded Inpatient Oncology Unit at Riverview Medical Center is officially open. The facility allows staff to accomodate more patients, while centralizing cancer care to one wing.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office congratulates Senior Purchasing Clerk Doreen Mazzilli on her retirement. Mazzilli joined the agency in 2004, when she was assigned to the Intake Unit, and was then moved to administration.
