A federal judge has suspended the $110 billion merger of Warner Brothers and Paramount. Attorney General Jennifer Davenport joined 11 other states in filing a lawsuit against the decision, claiming the merger would lead to higher prices and fewer programming choices.

Governor Mikie Sherrill recently signed the Forbidding the Algorithmic Inflation of Rent Act into law. The legislation protects renters from practices that artificially and unfairly inflate housing costs.

New Jersey Devils legend Sergei Brylin is taking his first head coaching job, with the HC Dinamo Minsk in Belarus. Brylin won three Stanley Cups with the Devils as a player and recently served the team as an assistant coach.

Rock band 10,000 Maniacs is scheduled to perform at Count Basie Center for the Arts on Friday, November 20th. The band is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year. Tickets are on sale today.
