Congratulations to New Jersey natives Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns, and the rest of the New York Knicks on winning their first NBA title in 53 years. Brunson scored 45 points in the final game and was named Finals MVP.
MetLife Stadium hosted its first 2026 FIFA Club World Cup game over the weekend, with Morocco and Brazil ending in a one to one draw. The venue will host another seven World Cup games, including the final on Sunday, July 19th.

Gene Shalit, the renowned film and book critic, has died. Raised in Newark and Morristown, Shalit is perhaps best remembered for working on the Today Show for four decades. He turned 100 years old back in March.
