Governor Mikie Sherrill was in Trenton for her first budget address, proposing a record-$60.7 billion in spending for the state. Her key points included property tax relief, online safety for kids and improved government accountability.

It’s official – Gary Redus II has been named head coach of Women’s Basketball at Rutgers University. Redus previously served as an assistant head coach at LSU for the past four years, helping the team clinch their first national championship, in 2023.

Construction has begun on the Arthur Carrington Tennis & Pickleball Complex in Elizabeth. Carrington, a former professional tennis player and an Elizabeth native, was on hand for the groundbreaking ceremony.

The new Bruce Springsteen Center for American Music at Monmouth University will be opening on Friday, June 7th. The facility will include a soundstage with 250 seats, state-of-the-art archives and exhibit spaces.
