Jersey City has long been a haven for creativity, filled with stories, struggles, and the kind of urban beauty that only artists seem to fully capture. Now, that creative spirit takes center stage in a new literary release.

Subconscious City: Love, Art & Artists – Jersey City/USA is a rich collection of interconnected stories and a novella that captures the heart of a Northeast American city’s arts scene just before the pandemic reshaped our lives. The book’s author, Timothy Herrick, joins us now to talk about this new collection, the inspiration behind it, and what it means to write about a city that’s constantly in flux.
