Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst ordered all non-essential personnel to temporarily leave campus yesterday, after the base received suspicious packages. Security determined there was no threat following an investigation.

The New Jersey Utilities Association and New Jersey Institute of Technology are teaming up to host a job fair. The event takes place on Tuesday, from 10am to 2pm at the NJIT campus center.

Several K-9s with the New Jersey Department of Corrections will receive bullet and stab protective vests, thanks to a donation from the non-profit Vested Interest in K9s. The vests were sponsored by the Survival Armor incentive program.

Gil Lugossy, a familiar face in Mercer County for several years has passed away. Lugossy served in many roles, including County Sheriff, Hamilton Fire Commissioner and President of the Hamilton Township Board of Education. He was 90 years old.
