This summer, Seastreak Ferries will launch a direct line from lower manhattan to Point Pleasant Beach. The boat will leave from the Battery Maritime Building and get to the Jersey Shore in about an hour and 15 minutes.

According to reports, Representative Tom Kean, who’s been sidelined with a health issue since March, says he’ll be returning to work soon. He plans to discuss the details of the illness and says he will seek re-election to a third term.

Marriott Saddle Brook recently celebrated 60 years of service. The hotel is the oldest continuously-operating Marriott in the world.

In an effort to keep residents and drivers safe, the Oceanport Police Department has installed new radar speed signs throughout the borough. The signs come courtesy of community donors.
