A Midland Park woman, who worked as a clerk for Ho-Ho-Kus, filed a lawsuit claiming she feared for her safety when the borough’s police chief yelled at her. She also said she was fired for reporting that officers violated the law.
A Jersey City police sergeant, who also served as the Mayor of Dumont, has pleaded not guilty to sexual assaulting a child. Investigators say 44-year-old Andrew LaBruno spoke to the alleged victim online and then drugged the child at a home in Englewood.
Wildwood firefighter Nick Palmer is being hailed a hero. Palmer was on a flight home from Florida when stepped in to offer medical support to a passenger in distress. This allowed the plane to avoid an emergency landing.
