40-year-old Neftalie Sanabria of Camden was charged with first-degree murder, for a fatal shooting on Baird Boulevard. Police responded and found the victim, 32-year-old Joshua Cruz, suffering from a bullet wound; he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Four North Jersey women have been charged with trafficking a 17-year-old girl. Detectives say the suspects forced the victim to engage in prostitution. The teenage runaway contacted police last month, which led to the investigation.

The Troopers United Foundation hosted the 5th Annual Classic Car Show & Open House at Division Headquarters. The event supports first responders and their families facing tragedy or illness.

The Essex County Office of Public Health Management has formed a partnership with Montclair State University. The goal is to enhance health research, as well as education and workforce development within the field.
