A Toms River man is dead following a motorcycle crash in Lakewood. 33-year-old Anthony Ferrentino was riding along Shorrock Street, when another vehicle was making a turn. Witnesses say the motorcycle didn’t stop at the red light.

A lawsuit filed against a police officer who fatally shot a 39-year-old Carl Dorsey in Newark back in 2021 has been dismissed by a federal judge. The decision comes after a state grand jury declined to file charges against the officer in 2023.

The Bloomfield Fire Department participated in a rope rescue refresher course, which was led by instructors with All Hands Fire. Crew members were put into scenarios that tested both their skills and equipment.

Mayor Marty Small announced that the former Chelsea Beach Bar will be relocating ahead of the 2026 summer season. The new site will be on the Atlantic City beach between Bellevue and Georgia Avenues, outside Boardwalk Hall.
