A heartwarming love story is unfolding right here in New Jersey, showing how meaningful connections and big moments can happen at any stage of life. At New Concepts for Living, a nonprofit that supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, one resident recently went above and beyond to ask his girlfriend to prom complete with flowers, a handmade poster, and a lot of courage.

The couple, who met through the program, are now preparing for a special Kentucky Derby–themed prom happening this Friday in Paramus. It’s a story about friendship, independence, and celebrating milestones that matter.
