Colorectal cancer is now the leading cause of cancer death in adults under 50, yet it’s one of the most preventable with proper screening. This past March, New Jersey resident Mike Van Raaphorst was being honored on a national stage at the Cologuard Classic, a PGA TOUR Champions event that brings together hundreds of patients, survivors, and advocates. After being diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer at just 41, Mike is now more than five years cancer-free and using his story to raise awareness. He joins us now to share his journey and why early detection is so critical.
