2026 Morris County Baseball Championship - Mount Olive vs. Delbarton
Brayden Longo and Jonathan Moore led the Marauders at the plate. Longo went 2-4 with a homerun, three RBIs, and a run scored for Mount Olive. Moore was also 2-4 and scored two runs. Louis Carter recorded a double for the Marauders’ other extra-base hit.
Robert Hubbard got the start on the mound for Mount Olive. The southpaw worked 3.1 innings and gave up five runs on five hits and walked four, but struck out seven. Longo was credited with the win for the Marauders. He pitched the final 1.2 innings of the game, escaping a first and third jam in the seventh inning. Longo surrendered only one hit, walked one, and struck out three during his time on the hill.
Finnian O’Loughlin and Matt Tafuri led the Green Wave offense. O’Loughlin went 2-4 with a triple, an RBI, and two runs scored, while Tafuri was also 2-4 with two runs scored for Delbarton. Sal Garcia also notched a triple for the Green Wave.
Kyle McBride started on the bump for Delbarton, going three innings, surrendering six runs (five earned) on six hits, and walking four while striking out four. Ted Masino pitched the final two innings for the Green Wave and was charged with the loss. He struck out five, but gave up three hits and surrendered the winning run to Mount Olive.
With the win, Mount Olive won their first Morris County title since 1991 and improves to 17-6 on the season and will next host Randolph on Monday. With the loss, Delbarton falls to 24-4 on the year and sees their streak of county titles end at six.
