IMAGES: Ridge Powers Past Bayonne in N2G4 Softball Tournament First Round

Kelly Ross went 2-3 at the plate with a homerun, three RBIs, and a run scored to help Ridge power past Bayonne, 6-2, in the first round of the 2026 NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 2, Group 4 Softball Tournament.

Sydney Perla also had an RBI on a 1-4 day at the plate for the Red Devils.

Maddy Sauro started in the circle for Ridge, giving up two runs on four hits over a full game of work.  She also struck out eight and walked only one Bayonne batter.

Sophia Diaz led the Bee offense, going 2-3 at the plate with a triple and two runs scored.  Lilah Gomez and Jaylin Ramirez also recorded hits for Bayonne, with Gomez also recording an RBI and Ramirez notching a double.

Diaz also started in the circle for the Bees, working all seven innings, giving up six runs, five earned, on five hits, while striking out two and walking one.
