UNION, N.J. — Kean University has been named to TIME’s inaugural edition of America’s Best Colleges 2026-2027, ranking among 500 institutions nationwide for strong student outcomes, supportive learning environments and attractiveness to students.

The ranking, presented by TIME and Statista Inc., analyzed thousands of U.S. colleges using federal data on graduation rates, post-graduate success, faculty resources, academic support and student appeal.
“Kean University is experiencing extraordinary growth, and this national recognition reflects the momentum we are building,” said President Lamont O. Repollet, Ed.D. “From expanding our academic and research enterprise to growing our reach through our recent merger, Kean is creating more pathways for students to access a world-class education and achieve success.”
Kean, New Jersey’s urban research university and an R2 research institution, serves nearly 25,000 students across campuses in Union, Jersey City, Toms River, Manahawkin and Wenzhou, China.
