A man was arrested for trying to **rob and kidnap a 59-year-old disabled man in Deptford Township. The 32-year-old, from Camden, is also accused of *biting an officer who tried to arrest him.
A 39-year-old fisherman – was rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard, about 70 miles off the New Jersey coastline. The victim was flown to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, after suffering stroke-like symptoms.
New Jersey State Police and family members gathered to remember *Trooper Philip Lamonaco, at his memorial on Interstate 80 in Warren County. Lamonaco was fatally shot there during a traffic stop in 1981.
Middletown Mayor Tony Perry and the Township Committee recently presented the 2025 Distinguished Citizen of the Year Award to Robert Letts, ahead of his 92nd birthday. Letts served the township’s police department for 37 years and retired as chief in 1991.
