NJ Star Patrick Wilson Makes His Directorial Debut in ‘Insidious: The Red Door’

Actor Patrick Wilson returns to the big screen in Insidious: The Red Door both in front of and behind the camera this weekend. The fifth installment in the horror franchise marks his directorial debut.

According to IMDb, Insidious 5 follows the Lambert family ten years after the previous film, as Dalton begins college. The family is plagued by a demon from a strange dimension called The Further. Actress Rose Byrne and Ty Simpkins also reprise their roles.

A Jersey guy by choice, Wilson currently lives in Montclair with his wife and two children. A large portion of the film was shot in Morristown, including one scene that took place at the Fair Mount Cemetery in Chatham.  Film crews were also spotted in Florham Park, at Drew University and other locations in Madison.

Wilson will be appearing at the Clairidge Theater in Montclair for a screening of the film and a special Q&A session on Saturday, July 8th at 11:30am. For more information, click here.
