Paralyzed Vets of America

March 2, 2026

As we recognize the stories of service and resilience that shape our country, one organization is marking a major milestone. Paralyzed Veterans of America is celebrating 80 years of impact, advocating for veterans living with spinal cord injuries and diseases like MS and ALS, while expanding opportunities and access for all people with disabilities.

Through groundbreaking legislation, medical research, and even adaptive sports like wheelchair basketball, the group has spent eight decades helping veterans reclaim independence and purpose. Their new awareness initiative, the Power of PVA campaign, highlights inspiring service heroes making a difference in their communities.

Joining us now is Jesse Lind, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and PVA member, speaking to us from Myrtle Beach.
