Bon Jovi Helps Distraught Woman on Nashville Bridge

By Gerald D'Ambra

Rock legend Jon Bon Jovi became an unexpected hero on Tuesday evening when he helped avert a potential crisis on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge in downtown Nashville.

While on the bridge for a photo shoot, Bon Jovi spotted a woman standing precariously on the outer edge, seemingly preparing to jump into the Cumberland River. The entire incident was captured on surveillance footage, later shared by the Metro Nashville Police Department on YouTube.

Bon Jovi, known for his compassionate nature, along with his team, approached the woman and managed to talk her out of jumping. Emergency responders, including the Nashville Fire Department and Metro Nashville Police, arrived shortly after to assist.
