Stefano Gangemi has been involved with sports his entire life. Although he enjoys all of them, none compare to the love he has for soccer. As a player, supporter, and now writer, Stefano dedicates the vast majority of his time immersed in the realm of the beautiful game.
He hails from central New Jersey, which is extremely advantageous regarding the teams he covers. Stefano is a proud alumnus of Rutgers University and focuses on coverage of their Men’s Soccer team. Whilst at a professional level he has done much work with Red Bull New York, a team he holds very close ties to having attended matches since they were initially founded as the Metro Stars.
He attributes the discovery of his passion for formally covering sports to his attendance of two 2026 FIFA World Cup matches. At the conclusion of the first one at SoFi Stadium between Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina in Los Angeles he was inspired to write a match summary discussing the contest. He followed this up with another one for the England versus Panama game taking place right here at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. This led him to pursue an opportunity working with ONNJ Sports where his first published article was a review of the final of that same tournament and where he continues refining his craft.
