IMAGES: No. 5 Rutgers Prep Tops Franklin for Somerset County Girls Basketball Crown

Franklin’s Aleah Sunkins recorded a double-double; however, the Warriors still fell to Rutgers Prep in the 2026 Somerset County Girls Basketball Championship game, 55-37.

Sunkins finished her afternoon with 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead Franklin.

Hailey Benbow and Ava LaMonica led the way for Rutgers Prep.  Benbow recorded 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds, while Lamonica chipped in 11 points and eight rebounds for the Argonauts.  Benbow also knocked down four threes for Prep.
