Murphy Launches New Abortion Website
New Jersey has launched a website to provide information about abortion and other reproductive health care in the state.
The new website complies with a law Governor Phil Murphy signed in June. The law requires the state to create a website to present information about all medical, surgical, counseling, or referral services available in New Jersey relating to the human reproductive system. Murphy on Tuesday also announced $963,000 in loans to Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan New Jersey and LivWell Healthcare to upgrade reproductive health care facilities.

NJ Joins Federal Lawsuit Against Meta
New Jersey is among 42 states that have filed a federal lawsuit against Meta. Attorney General Matt Platkin said he plans to hold the parent company to Facebook and Instagram accountable for quote “deceptive business practices.” The suit alleges the social media giant is responsible for harming young people’s mental health and has contributed to a mental health crisis among the country’s youth. It also claims the company “knowingly designed” harmful features on Instagram and Facebook that make children and teens addicted to the platform.
Turnpike and Parkway Tolls to Rise Again
Drivers who use the Turnpike and Parkway are going to be hit with the fourth toll increase since 2020.  Turnpike Authority commissioners approved a $2.62 billion budget Tuesday that raises tolls 3% on January 1, 2024. The authority bases toll increases through the indexing process on what is needed to fund the capital budget for that year.
