A dump truck towing a small trailer crashed into a home along Route 35 in Point Pleasant Beach last week.
The crash that happened at the corner of Route 35 and McLean Avenue did not result in major injuries, according to Point Pleasant Beach Mayor Paul Kanitra. However, it did knock out power to more than 550 homes at the time.
55-year-old Ronald Bennett was treated at the scene and taken to the hospital, according to the Police Chief Robert J. Kowalewski.
There were no other injuries and no residents were home at the time of the crash. The truck hit a utility pole before crashing into the home.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
