Gotham FC’s international presence continues to expand.
After placing four players on the USWNT roster for the 2026 SheBelieves Cup, Gotham’s total number of international call-ups has grown to 11 for the upcoming FIFA window.
Midfielders Sofia Cook and Sarah Schupansky and forward Andrea Kitahata were named to the 24-player roster for the first U.S. Under-23 Women’s National Team training camp of 2026. The camp runs from February 27 through March 7 in South Florida and will conclude with two matches against the Mexico U-23 Women’s National Team at FIU Soccer Stadium in Miami.
Goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger will represent Germany as the two-time world champions open UEFA qualifying for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup against Slovenia on March 3 and Norway on March 7. Defender Jess Carter and reigning European champions England begin World Cup qualifying against Ukraine on March 3 before hosting Iceland on March 7 at The City Ground in Nottingham.
Defender Bruninha and reigning Copa América Femenina champions Brazil will play exhibition matches against Costa Rica on February 27, Venezuela on March 4 and Mexico on March 7. Midfielder Stella Nyamekye and Ghana will compete in the 2026 Pink Ladies Cup from February 28 through March 6, facing Hong Kong, Russia and Tanzania.
At the U-23 level, Kitahata brings prior FIFA youth Women’s World Cup experience and is coming off a standout collegiate career at Stanford. Schupansky led the club and all NWSL rookies with five assists last season, while Cook earns her first U-23 call-up after previously representing the United States at the U-15 and U-20 levels.
The 11 call-ups reflect the depth of a roster coming off a championship season and extend the club’s presence across senior and youth national teams during a single international window.
